Aesthetic Beauty & Massage supports a number of charities and clubs in the community and has done since 2001. Recently we started capturing photos in an attempt to share the projects and charities we are passionate about.
Native Animal Rescue
In 2018 Aesthetic Beauty & Massage sponsored an injured Red tailed black cockatoo "Garnet" who was rehabilitated back to health and released at John Forrest National Park on 2nd June 2018.
Friends of the Western Ground Parrot - Member 2018
In 2018 Aesthetic Beauty & Massage supported the charity by purchasing a copy of their documentary and making a donation toward protecting the habitat of the Western Ground Parrot and hopefully bringing the species back from the brink of extinction. Currently less than 40 birds are believed to exist in the wild.

Garnet in quarantine
Garnet in quarantine cage 1 after vet care from Perth Zoo. Garnet was attacked by crows and her tail feathers were torn out.
Garnet improving
Garnet in holding cage #3 a bigger space next to the large aviary of red tails to prepare her for inclusion into the flock.
Garnet in the final aviary
Garnet joins the flock in the huge aviary. This is designed to build up their wing strength and fitness in the lead up to release in the wild!
Native Animal Rescue
Garnet and friends are carefully transported to the national park for release back to the wild.
Ready, set, go!
The covers are gently pulled back and one by one the birds make their way out. Some are eager to go, others are a bit more hesitant.
And they are off!
After a few minutes the last of the birds fly out of their cage. The four that flew out first, circle back as they hear their last two friends call out.
The flock watch us depart
As we walk the 1km track back to the carpark, the flock join some local black tails and all perch in a tree overlooking us as we head back.
Western Ground Parrot
This beautiful shy parrot is only found in tiny pockets of Western Australia. Sadly it is dangerously close to extinction. Please contribute to The Friends of the Western Ground Parrot if you want to help save them.
